We work in other people’s homes, offices and institutions, often while they are in use. Our teams treat every space as if it were our own: we protect surfaces and belongings before we start, keep equipment and materials out of walkways, and leave each area as we found it, only cleaner.

Every job starts with a look at the risks it carries, from wet floors and electrical points to traffic, heights and confined spaces. Work is planned so that our staff, our clients and members of the public are kept out of harm’s way, and a job is stopped and reassessed whenever conditions change.

No one is asked to do a job they have not been trained for. Staff are trained for the tasks they carry out and are issued with the personal protective equipment those tasks require, from gloves and eye protection to coveralls, masks and harnesses. Training is refreshed as methods, equipment and products change.

Cleaning chemicals and pesticides are stored securely, labelled, and mixed and applied at the correct strength by trained staff. Before fumigation or disinfection we agree with the client who needs to leave the area and for how long, and we explain what must happen before the space is used again.

External cleaning of solid and glass walls, from bungalows to tall buildings, is the highest-risk work we do. It is planned in advance with the building owner, carried out only by trained staff using inspected access equipment and fall protection, and supervised throughout. Ground level below the work is kept clear.

Garbage collection, septic tank emptying and sanitary services are carried out so that waste is contained at every stage, from collection to disposal. Staff handling waste are equipped for it, and responsible waste management is part of our environmental commitment.

Safety is a management responsibility before it is anyone else’s. Management provides the equipment, protective gear and training each job requires, supervises work on site, investigates incidents and near misses, and acts on what they show. No deadline or price justifies an unsafe method.

Our staff are expected to work to the methods they have been trained in, wear the protective equipment issued to them, look after their equipment, and speak up. Anyone may stop work and call a supervisor if something is unsafe, and no one will be penalised for doing so.
